In this 8-piece Aboriginal art series, Claypan Songlines is a variation of the mud map process; however some oils and oxides have been used to give the work colour. Usually claypans have no colour in them, I wanted to add my flare to this work with traditional Aboriginal symbols and colour. The actual story of the work is the tracks between the waterholes in the claypans where people walk alone or together thinking, talking, day dreaming, wondering; these are their songs.
Mud, Oil, Oxides and Ochre on Rag Paper. (30X24) Unframed.
