Weather is an important part of both Western and Aboriginal cultures. In Australian society as we know it today weather is always being talked about, it is a constant to what we may be able to do that day. In Aboriginal culture we have stories explaining weather phenomena's called "Dreamtime" stories. What I have done with this piece is taken a newspaper weather map and forecast from the region of Central Queensland and turned it into a mud map using oxides and ochre to colour the paper. The work is simply to show how important weather is to us as humans not as different races. Newspaper, Mud, Oxides and Ochre on Paper (27X35) Framed.
